Kung Fu Panda 2 - The Story

Po the panda bear is now living his dream as The Dragon Warrior. He is protecting the Valley of Peace with the help from his friends and fellow kung fu masters, The Furious Five. However, a mysterious villain is plotting to use an unstoppable weapon to conquer China and wiping out Kung Fu. Now Po and The Furious Five must take a journey across China to stop this evil threat. Angelina Jolie, Dustin Hoffman, and Jackie Chan also lend their infamous voices to the animated adventure.

The Characters:

Po

Now that he is the dragon warrior, and has almost mastered Kung Fu, Po has new challenges that he must face. However nothing has changed too much as he is still dishing out his hilarious one liners and is still passionate about feeding his ever rounding belly.

Lord Chen

Lord Chen, played by Gary Oldman, is introduced as the super villain in this new adventure. With only ambition on his mind, he is determined to conquer China and annihilate Kung Fu. He uses his deception, deceit, and armory of blades hidden in his robe to keep him safe.

Mantis

Kung Fu Panda 2 - Po and the Furious Five!

lends his voice to this deadly Kung Fu master. Don’t be fooled by his size. His stealth, speed, and mean temper is enough to make any enemy quake in fear. His tiny legs enable him to leap to great heights and he also uses his raptorial legs as deadly weapons.

Crane

David Cross has made this Kung Fu master come to life. Loves peace but won’t think twice about keeping the bad guys in check. His first defense is to diffuse tense situation with his quick wit, if that doesn’t work then watch out for his beak and wings!

Shifu

Dustin Hoffman gives Shifu’s role personality and depth. As the spiritual leader of the group, he has to constantly guide them at every step. With Po’s crazy antics and innate clumsiness, Shifu’s patience is put to test. Good thing he has found chanting as a means of keeping his cool intact.

Monkey

Jackie Chan lends his voice to this martial arts champion making this Kung Fu master a dreaded opponent. He possesses more street smarts that his other team mates and his staff. A weapon of the Shaolin temple helps him to keep crime and injustice at bay.

Viper

Lucy Liu plays Viper, the group’s resident mother. However, don’t let her batting eyelids and pucker lips fool you. Her lightening speed stuns her opponents and her strike is lethal.

Tigress

Angelina Jolie’s counterpart in the Furious Five’s is boldest and strongest member. Even though Po might not have been her first choice as the dragon warrior, she is fiercely loyal to him. Her aggression, speed, agility, and strength show her opponents who’s the boss.

The Furious Five team encounters other whacky characters along the way that promise to make this animated film as memorable and enjoyable as its predecessor.
