adventure, and friendship. With Harry Potter (played by Daniel Radcliffe), the fun and excitement never end! The movie poster gives us a glimpse into the mystery and suspense that the sixth installment in the franchise promises. At whom – or what – is Harry raising his wand? Just what is that reflected in his glasses? As with the three most recent films, the dark colors in this poster reflect the dark forces that Harry and his friends must face.

In Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Voldemort’s power seems to be growing, threatening even Hogwarts. Dumbledore (played by Michael Gambon), believing a final battle between Voldemort and Harry Potter is imminent, is determined to prepare Harry for the challenge that awaits him. He enlists the help of an old friend, Professor Horace Slughorn (played by Jim Broadbent) to discover secrets they can use toward Voldemort’s destruction.

Draco Malfoy (played by Tom Felton) is once again up to his
old tricks. In their sixth year together at Hogwarts, Harry continues to keep a suspicious eye on all Draco’s activities. And this year, Draco seems to be sneaking around even more nefariously, leading Harry to believe Draco may be doing the bidding of a stronger wizard: Lord Voldemort himself!

He’s been an enigma throughout the series and Professor Snape (played by Alan Rickman) remains mysterious. In the past, Harry’s suspicions about Snape have generally proved to be ill-founded. All the same, a photo from the film showing Snape making contact with Narcissa Malfoy (played by Helen McCrory) and Bellatrix Lestrange (played by Helena Bonham Carter) ought to raise our suspicions once again! Will Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince finally reveal whose side Snape is truly on – Dumbledore’s or Voldemort’s?

There is no one in the wizarding world to be feared more than Lord Voldemort, and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince brings us a glimpse into Voldemort’s past. As he studies with Dumbledore, Harry watches scenes in the life of the young Voldemort (played by Hero Fiennes-Tiffin) unfold, revealing how Tom Riddle became Lord Voldemort. Will these insights reveal to Harry Potter how he can defeat the Dark Lord once and for all?

Fortunately, Harry Potter is by no means alone in his quest to crush Voldemort’s evil plans. Harry’s faithful friends Ron Weasley (played by Rupert Grint), Hermione Granger (played by Emma Watson) are with him through thick and thin. And

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is not all fighting Voldemort; after all, it’s another year at Hogwarts. There’s plenty of time for friendship, romantic dilemmas, and – of course – Quidditch! Harry discovers his feelings for Ginny Weasley go beyond friendly affection, but he is not the only one vying for her romantic attentions. Ron finds himself the center of a ladies’ tug-of-war, while Hermione tries to suffer her jealousy quietly.
